If you have a big pitch coming up, it can often be the smaller things that leave you awake at night.

Firstly, make sure that whatever you’re wearing is something you’re comfortable presenting in and as for the style of dress itself, keep it simple and just dress slightly smarter than you expect your audience to.

If you’re pitching to a financial organisation your attire will be more formal than say a creative start-up.  For example the financial firm would be full business dress and the creative start-up may be more smart casual.

No one’s expecting you to show up in a dinner jacket, but it is always better to be overdressed than underdressed.
